Stylistically, it is described as a middle of the lightness of her highly acclaimed debut Moon Safari and the sound considerably somber follow-up album 10,000 Hz Legend:
"Of course, so we expect " Talkie Walkie " with impatience, because it is actually only the third ' proper ' album [ ... ], and since you can actually ever be excited. Get going again flaky or even darker or ... well, there is therebetween. [ ... ] " Talkie Walkie " is by no means a bad compromise, but a successful alloy of different states of aggregation of Air Nix really new, certainly, but at the usual high level. And that must be enough times then stop, you can finally not reinvent the space! "
