Tallmadge is a city in Summit County and Portage County, Ohio, United States. It is a suburb of Akron and statistically part of the Akron metropolitan area. Tallmadge was founded in 1807 and is the second oldest city in Summit County, according to Hudson, which was founded in 1799.
Named after the place Benjamin Tallmadge, a colonel in the Continental Army and representatives in the House of Representatives of the United States.
