Talthybius
Talthybios (Greek Ταλθύβιος ) is one of the better known heralds of Agamemnon.
In the Iliad, Agamemnon instructed him, for example, to fetch the doctor Machaon or, another time, a sheep as a sacrifice after the duel between Menelaus and Paris agreed. Together with another well-known herald of Agamemnon, Eurybates, he takes on behalf of Agamemnon to Achilles Briseis away ( Homer, Iliad 1, 318-348 ).
