TAM Airlines (formerly Transportes Aéreos del Mercosur SA) is an airline based in Asunción Paraguay. It is a 100 % owned subsidiary of TAM Linhas Aéreas, Brazil's largest airline. Headquarters and home base located at the Silvio Pettirossi International Airport, Asunción.

History

The origin of the airline is the former state Lineas Aéreas Paraguay (LAP ), which was established in 1962 and 1963, flight operations resumed. She changed her name, as the TAM Group in September 1996, took over the majority.
