Tam Cốc-Bích Động

Tam Coc - Bich Dong is a pagoda in nordvietnamesischem District Hoa Lu in Ninh Hai Commune of, about eleven kilometers from Ninh Binh.

The Bich Dong Pagoda, built on Ngu Nhac the Mountain, is divided into three levels: Ha Pagoda ( lower pagoda ), Trung Pagoda (middle pagoda ), and Thuong Pagoda ( upper pagoda ). On the summit of the mountain stands the statue of a learned Mandarin, looking at the magnificent landscapes of Hoa Lu.

The location of the pagoda was chosen in 1428 by two monks who " were charmed by the view of the river and the mountains ."

On King Le Canh Hung, who wrote a poem in honor of the beautiful pagoda and landscape, the view goes back to the Bich Dong Pagoda named after the Huong Pagoda, also Perfume Pagoda, in the province of Ha Tay, the second most Pagoda Vietnam was.

About 2 km from the Bich Dong Pagoda is also worth seeing the cave Tam Coc.
