Tama Toshi Monorail Line

The monorail Tama (Japanese多摩 都市 モノレール 線, Tama toshi monorēru -sen, dt city monorail line Tama ), mostly Tama Monorail (多摩 モノレール, Tama monorēru ) called, is part of the public transport in the Japanese cities of Tama, Hino, Tachikawa and Higashiyamato in the west of Tokyo prefecture on the main island of Honshu. It is double track and 16 km long. It was opened in 1998 and expanded in 2000. It is operated by the Tama toshi monorēru kabushiki gaisha (多摩 都市 モノレール 株式会社, Eng. Tokyo Tama Intercity Monorail Co., Ltd.)..

The journey of vehicles between the termini Kamikitadai in Higashiyamato and Tama in Tama Center is 36 minutes. The stops Tachikawa - Kita ( Tachikawa North) and Tachikawa - Minami ( Tachikawa South) are the main railway stations, since there exist a connecting flight to Chūō and Nambu - line of the railway company JR East.
