The Tamachi Station (Japanese田 町 駅, Tamachi -eki ) is located in Minato located in Tokyo, Japan.

History

The station was taken on December 16, 1909 by the Japanese government as a passenger train station in operation. On June 21, 1968, located near the railway station of Mita operated in conjunction Toei Subway Asakusa Line and Mita Line was opened. After the privatization of the state railway station passed into the possession of JR Higashi- Nihon April 1, 1987.

Design and tracks

The station was built in the most commonly encountered design as a through station. He has four platform tracks, which hit two central platforms and are served by the Keihin - Tohoku Line and Yamanote Line. Use

In 2007, the station from an average of 154 750 passengers was used on the day, so that the rank 16 took over 900 on the ranking of the busiest train stations of JR East in 2007.
