Tamara Hope

Tamara Hope ( born November 2, 1984 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian actress.

Life and career

Hope's acting career began in 1999 with an appearance in the TV movie Winslow Homer: An American Original. 2000 was followed by other roles in TV movies, including a starring role in The Royal Diaries: Elizabeth I - Red Rose of the House of Tudor. For her supporting role in the TV movie The Sandy Bottom - Concert for a city she was honored in 2001 with the Young Artist Award, another nomination for this award she received in 2002 for Stormy Times. Her first appearance in a movie was the actress in 2001 in the independent thriller The Deep End - Deceptive silence.

In 2002, Hope the lead role in the Canadian fantasy series Guinevere Jones, where 26 episodes long embodied the eponymous protagonist. Following this, the actress turned back the movies and was seen mainly in Canadian productions, including the comedies Saint Ralph - Miracles are possible and Prom Queen - One of a kind (both 2004). Appeared in the U.S. productions she had, among other things in the dance film Shall We Dance? (2004 ) and the disaster film Mayday - Air Disasters 52 ( 2005). When Method Independent Film Festival 2005, she was honored for her starring role in The Nickel Children with the "Breakout Acting Award." In addition, she received at the Prism Awards 2007 nomination in the category "Performance in a TV Movie " for her role in Augusta, Gone ( 2006).

2007 Hope played in the second season of the Canadian television series Whistler the role of Leah McLure, the series was, however, set the end of 2007. Recently, the actress was starring in the Canadian television production operations in Afghanistan - Attack of the desert snakes and Manson (both 2009) and can be seen in a guest role in the second season series Covert Affairs.
