Tamara Tikhonova

Tamara Ivanovna Tikhonova (Russian Тамара Ивановна Тихонова, scientific transliteration Tamara Ivanovna Tichonova; born June 13, 1964 in Kovaljowo, Udmurtia ) is a former Russian cross-country skier who competed for the Soviet Union.

At the Olympic Games in Calgary in 1988 she was one of the most successful participants. She won the gold medal in the 20 km and with the relay. They also took about 5 km in second place. At the World Championships she won five medals. 1985 and 1989 they were each World Champion in the relay.
