Tamás Szabó

Tamás Szabó ( József Tamás Szabó; born October 30, 1956 in Zirc ) is retired bishop of the Hungarian Military Ordinariate.

Life

Szabó received on 20 August 1988, the ordination. Pope John Paul II appointed him on 28 November 2001 to the bishop of the Hungarian Military Ordinariate.

The Archbishop of Esztergom- Budapest, László Cardinal Paskai OFM, ordained him on January 12 of next year to the bishop; Co-consecrators were István Seregély, Archbishop of Eger, and Lajos Pápai, Bishop of Győr.

From his office he resigned on 15 March 2007.
