Tamil Youth Organisation

Tamil Youth Organization ( Abbreviation: TYO, Tamil: தமிழ் இளையோர் அமைப்பு ) is a global Tamil youth organization. In many countries, the organization was founded in 2004 when the tsunami wreaked havoc in Sri Lanka. According TYO It was founded with the aim to give the Tamil youth a better future and cohesion and also deals with the socio- cultural problems of the Tamil diaspora. Furthermore, the organization is pursuing a pro- Tamil course where the independence of Tamil Eelam is supported.

The organization operates in the UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, France, New Zealand and several other countries. They organized in these countries events ( football tournaments, dance contests ( Akkinithandavam ), Tamil Events, information evenings and ...) and has during the Civil War, often organized demonstrations to make the international community on the situation in Sri Lanka attention and the suppression of to end Tamils. Thus, in Geneva and in London by TYO using other organizations organized large demonstrations that followed involved more than 15,000 Tamils ​​in Geneva and 100,000 in London.

TYO UK has also done a Tamil independence referendum in the UK, which was conducted in January 2010, a great contribution. At this referendum was attended by approximately 65,000 Tamils.
