Staadion The Tamme is located in Tartu district Tammelinn. It borders on its grandstands about 2000 visitors. The Tamme Staadion is the home stadium of the football club Tartu JK Maag Tammeka Tartu.

In addition, the stadium complex includes various sports halls, basketball courts, tennis courts and an ice rink in winter.

History

The original sports park was designed in 1928 by the architect Arnold Matteus. The work was completed in 1932. 1936, a grandstand was added. Since then, the stadium for top-flight of the Estonian Football League is being used. In particular, from 1945 to 1955 found in Tamme Staadion numerous international athletics competitions are held, but also to certain Estonian Song Festivals.

In the 1960s, the stadium was completely renovated and put into operation in 1973 again.
