Tan Liangde

Tan Liangde (Chinese谭良德/谭良德, Pinyin Tan Liangde, Jyutping Tam4 Leung4 Dak1; * July 14, 1965 in Maoming ) is a former Chinese diver. He participated in three Olympic Games and won a silver medal each.

Career

Tan Liangde studied at the Sports University in Guangdong. He participated in Los Angeles at the 1984 Summer Olympics. Tan started in competition from the three- meter board and was able to win the silver medal behind the American Greg Louganis. Four years later, at the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, there was again a duel between Tan and Louganis, which ended with the same result as in 1984. Tan Liangde won with 704.88 points behind the silver again winning with 730.80 points Americans. In Barcelona Tan took at the 1992 Summer Olympics the last time participate in the Olympics. Again he won silver from the three - meter board. This time behind the American Mark Lenzi. With the World Swimming Championships 1986 in Madrid and at the World Swimming Championships in 1991 in Perth Tan Liangde also won two silver medals from the three- meter board.
