Tana ( Sami: Deatnu ) is a commune in the Norwegian province (county ) Finnmark.

The municipality is located on the lower reaches of the river Tana ( Sami: Deatnu, Finnish: Teno ), which marks the border with Finland on a majority of its length. The largest settlements of the municipality, in addition to the administrative headquarters Tana Bru still Sirbma or Sirma, Polmak, Skipagurra and Austertana.

Most residents of the village are seeds. Their language is colloquial and is also taught in schools. Their main source of income is in addition to reindeer herding, fishing of salmon. The Tana River is one of the richest salmon rivers in Europe.
