Tanggu District

Tanggu (Chinese塘沽 区, pinyin Tanggu Qū ) was a Chinese city district, which belonged to the administrative area of ​​centrally-administered city of Tianjin. It was located in the east of Tianjin at the mouth of the Hai He in the Bohai Bay of the Bohai Sea. Tanggu had an area of ​​758.9 km ² and population numbered about 488 300 ( 2002).
