Tanita Tikaram
Tanita Tikaram ( born August 12, 1969 in Münster, Germany ) is a British singer.
Life and work
Tanita Tikaram grew up in Münster, Westphalia, where her father was stationed in the service of the British Army. Tanita's mother was originally from Borneo / Malaysia and her father from the Fiji Islands. The parents had met in England before they moved to Germany. At the age of twelve years Tanita returned with her parents returned to England and lived there in Basingstoke / Hampshire.
