Tapio Korjus

Seppo Aleksanteri Tapio Korjus ( born February 10, 1961 in Vehkalahti ) is a former Finnish javelin thrower.

At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, the Finnish champion in 1987 and 1988 won the Olympic gold medal with 84.28 ahead of Jan Zelezny and Seppo Räty. Ahead of the Games had already become apparent that Korjus was in great shape when he was able to improve the Finnish national record twice, most recently at 86.50 m.

Tapio Korjus, which had a size of 1.96 m and a competition weight of 105 kg of ideal conditions for javelin throwers, never reached again the class of the year 1988.
