Tara Cunningham

Tara Nott ( born May 10, 1972 in Del Rio, Texas, USA) is an American weightlifter. She was the first Olympic champion in weightlifting.

Career

Tara Nott began her athletic career as a gymnast and was from 1990 to the football team at the Colorado College. She made football career and was part of the U.S. national team in football. At the Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 she first saw weightlifting and spontaneously decided on this sport. That same year, she became U.S. champion in weightlifting. In 2000, she took the chance and won, being in excellent shape, the gold medal at the Sydney Olympics in the class to 48 kg body weight. But you also helped that had to be disqualified until then leading Isabella Dragnewa from Bulgaria for doping.
