Tara Summers
Tara Summers ( born December 19, 1979 in London) is a British actress.
Life
Tara Summers grew up as the only daughter of the art dealer Martin Summers and swimwear designer Nona Summers in London's Chelsea. About her childhood she wrote the autobiographical piece Gypsy of Chelsea (English: Gypsy of Chelsea) and treated in particular cocaine addiction and help for her mother Nona and their relationship with the mother, the bridge world champion Fritzi Gordon. The one-person piece she led in London's Royal Court Theatre and at New York's Studio 54 on itself, the proceeds benefited the charity Action on Addiction. 2001 Summers made at Brown University graduate in history, still, she studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and the National Theater Institute.
Her film debut was in 2003 in Summers, a supporting role in U.S. comedy What a Girl Wants, followed by other roles including in Alfie (2004) and Factory Girl (2006). Larger notoriety she gained from 2007 by a starring role in the American Justice series Boston Legal, where the lawyer Katie Lloyd embodied in the fourth and fifth season. Together with the other main characters of the series Summers was at the Screen Actors Guild Awards respectively in the category "Best Acting Ensemble in a Television Series - Drama " nominated in 2008 and 2009. Other series roles had the actress in Dirt (2007 ) Damages - the power (2010) and Private Practice ( 2011). In the 2011 broadcast season one of The CW series Ringer, she played Gemma Gallagher.
2011 Summers was seen along with fellow actor Jack Davenport in the music video for the song Called Out in the Dark of the British band Snow Patrol.
