Taranaki Rugby Football Union

The Taranaki Rugby Football Union ( TRFU ) is the national rugby union Provincial Association of the Taranaki region of the North Island of New Zealand. The selection team of the Association in the national championship ITM Cup wears their home games at Yarrow Stadium in New Plymouth from.

Taranaki was four times so far in possession of the Ranfurly Shield, in the years 1913, 1957, 1963 and 1996.

Player of Taranaki are eligible to play in the international Super Rugby League and are summoned by the Hurricanes.
