Taras Bidenko

Taras Bidenko (Ukrainian Тарас Олександрович Біденко; born February 8, 1980 in Kiev ) is a Ukrainian heavyweight boxer.

Career

Bidenko earned his first professional fight in June 2000 In just his fourth fight he met in July 2002 in Seoul on Nikolai Valuev. ; with at this time 29 fights in nine years as a professional significantly more experienced than Bidenko. Valuev won over the distance of twelve rounds on points.

Since 2004 Bidenko is in Germany with the Hamburg boxing stable Spotlight Boxing under contract. His coach is Magomed Schaburow. On 14 December 2004 he won by beating Konstantin Onofrei the title of the International German Champion in the heavyweight division. In his next fight he met on 29 March 2005 to his compatriot Volodymyr host ski. Bidenko was in spite of a precipitate in the second round at the beginning of the twelfth and final round on points clear lead, but lost almost a minute before the end of the fight even by a heavy knockout

In 2006 he was able to defeat two unbeaten amateur stars, first the Swedes Aldo Colli Ander, then in August he narrowly won on points against Olexij Masikin, Vice amateur world champion of 2001.

In October 2006, he won early against Andreas Sidon and won the vacant WBA Inter-Continental title which he resigned in 2008, however.

After he was able to win his next six fights, he fought in June 2009 against the under contract with Universum Box-Promotion Denis Boytsov again for the WBA Inter-Continental title. This time, however, he had been defeated by a technical knockout in the sixth round.
