Tarashcha

Taraschtscha (Ukrainian and Russian Тараща ) is a town in Ukraine's Kiev Oblast with 11,500 inhabitants ( 2012). The city was founded in the year 1709. Received the status of a city Taraschtscha 1957.

Taraschtscha is the administrative headquarters of Rajon Taraschtscha and is located at Kotluj ( Котлуй ), a 26 km long tributary of the Ros. The capital of Kiev is situated 115 km north-east of the city.
