Target allocation radar TPS-1E

The target allocation radar TPS - 1E ( NPER ) is an omnidirectional pulse radar device that until 1989 came into use in 1958 with the Swiss Air Force in 24 copies.

History

It was purchased in the late 1950s for the heavy anti-aircraft divisions. Objective data were transmitted by telephone or radio to the artillery batteries. The radarisierten batteries for fire control radar Mark VII, whose Parallaxrechner meta data conversion anxious to local coordinates. In the remaining heavy anti-aircraft batteries, the data were used to target instruction manual.

In the Middle antiaircraft the ZZR was used from 1963 together with the new operations center 63 for the same task. After the introduction of the fire control equipment and 75 Skyguard the teams in the new mobile flyer radar companies were used to taking over the TAFLIR systems in 1989.
