Target Corporation

The Target Corporation is one of the largest retailers in the U.S. and is according to Wal -Mart 's second-largest discount retailer in the country. The company is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is listed on the stock index S & P 500.

History

1902 George Dayton opened the first department store in the business district of Minneapolis. At that time, the company was still called " the Dayton Dry Goods Company." In 1910 it was renamed " Dayton Company".
