Táriba

Táriba on the map of Venezuela

Táriba is a Venezuelan town, administrative center of the municipality of Cárdenas, in the state of Táchira.

It was founded in 1602 by Alfonso Pérez de Tolosa, even if it was a meeting place for the encomenderos since the mid-16th century.
