Tarma Province

The Tarma Province is one of the nine provinces of the department of Junín in the center of Peru, in a transition zone from the Andean highlands towards the Amazonian lowlands. It is bordered on the north by the province of Junín, in the east by the province Chanchamayo, to the south by the province Jauja and to the west by the province Yauli.

The Tarma province is divided into nine districts ( distritos ); Tarma is the capital.
