The river Târnava (German Kokel, Hungarian Küküllő, Transylvanian Saxon. Keakel or Caw ) is 249 kilometers in length, the largest tributary of the Mureş ( Maros ). The Târnava is from the rivers Târnava Mare (Grand Kokel ) and the Târnava Mica ( Small Kokel ) fed, which flow together at Blaj ( Blasendorf ) for Târnava. It opens after 28 kilometers at Mihalt in the Mureş.
