The Foho Taroman ( Taroman - mountain ) is with 1744 meters the highest mountain of the East Timorese district of Cova Lima. It lies in the Suco Fatululic ( subdistrict Fatululic ), which owes its name to the mountain. With fatu characteristic of Timor cliffs are called (derived from Tetumwort Fatuk for " rock "). The word Lulic (or lulik ) means " holy." " Fatululic " actually means " sacred rock " or " sacred rock ".

Previously, the Foho Taroman was a place were carried out on the animistic rites.

History

The Taroman was from 1976, a retreat for the Falintil who fought against the Indonesian invaders, and fled civilians from Cova Lima. Here they established a base de apoio, a resistance base.
