Rolle is a municipality in the district of Nyon in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland.

Geography

Rolle is at 492 m above sea level. M., 11 km north-east of the district main town Nyon ( straight line ). The wine village extends slightly increased at the lower southern slopes of the Vaud Côte midst of the vineyards on the village stream Flon, in a scenic location around 120 m above the lake level of Lake Geneva.

History

In the 11th century the place was first mentioned under the name Tritiniaco. Later, the names Tertygnens ( 1265 ) and Tertinnie published. Attractions
