Tartu JK Tammeka

Jalgpalliklubi Tammeka Tartu is an Estonian football club based in Tartu. The club colors are blue and white.

History

The club was founded in 1989, despite the youth work, which was considered excellent, gain more success in his early days.

Until 2001 the club played at most mediocre, then succeeded as master of II Liiga the rise in the Esiliiga. There, the club finished in 2002 at the end of the season the relegation place. Both games against MC Tallinn were lost, but league rival Maardu JK received no license and so the association of the class remained. In the following season, the season was finished on a relegation place because league rival Merkuur Tartu, license Levadia Tallinn took over and rose to the Meistriliiga, the class remained in turn.

As a master of Esiliiga at the end of the 2004 season Tammeka promotion to the Meistriliiga. Here, the club could be placed in the first two years in the midfield.

After the 2006 season, Tammeka and Maag Tartu JK Maag joined forces to Tammeka Tartu. The collaboration was dissolved again in 2009.
