Tasciovanus

Tasciovanus was a Celtic prince or king who is known from his coins. He was probably the head of the Catuvellauni. His coinage sets in about one to 10 BC. In them we find the note VIR, indicating that they were minted at Verulamium. The place was therefore his capital. In Verulamium itself, however, came so far none of his coins to light. In contrast, the majority come from the area of Braughing.
