Tashi delek

Trashi Delek ( wylie: bkra shis bde legs, Tibetan: . བཀྲ་ཤིས་བདེ་ལེགས་ ) is a Tibetan / Bhutanese greeting.

Importance

Trashi Delek means translated as good luck or May you prosper it into German. The four Tibetan syllables bkra, shis, bde and legs have each in itself a space of meaning, which is auspicious: bkra means among other things beautiful, bright, wonderful; shis means, inter alia, Luck, fortune, glory, blessedness; bde means, inter alia, Pleasure, happiness, well-being, safety, enjoyment, bliss; legs means, inter alia, Prosperity, wealth, good, good, nice, tidy. The sequence of syllables with similar meaning spaces is typical of the Tibetan language, when a gain of expression is to be achieved. In this sense, the translation is good luck or may it prosper you to understand.

Use

Will use this greeting for Buddhists all over the world. It is also often worn as saying on t- shirts. 2008 Greeting on various textiles of the Free Tibet actions was used, this should, show solidarity with Tibet.
