Taskbar
As taskbar, start menu, task bar or screenable a portion of the desktop is called graphical interfaces. Their main task is to launch programs and switch between them.
Function
A task bar can take on different functions.
- Providing a centralized function selection menu ( menu bar of the operating system )
- Display currently opened windows ( running programs and folders displayed )
- Status bar of the operating system: current time and date, system performance, active processes, loaded services / daemons, system notifications
- Display of other widgets ( small programs )
Supported Operating Systems
A task bar provide, for example, provides the following operating systems.
- Microsoft Windows (Windows 95 ): The Windows taskbar has a partially configurable start menu, quick start bar, an alert box and can be positioned on any side of the screen.
