Offices

TCS has 208 offices in 46 countries; including regional delivery centers in Europe, North and South America, India, China and Japan.

European Delivery Center are located for example in Dusseldorf ( Germany ), Budapest ( Hungary), Luxembourg ( Luxembourg ) and Peterborough ( UK). They act as an interface to the Global Network Delivery Model and realize offshoring models. European branch are also Switzerland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium; Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Norway, Poland and Austria.

The location of Dusseldorf mainly covers the areas of application development, architecture and consulting, product outsourcing, systems integration and testing. The focus is on agile software development and service-oriented architecture models (SOA). More German campuses in Munich, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Walldorf and Wolfsburg.

Parent company and its history

TCS is part of the Tata Group, an Indian conglomerate. The company was founded in 1868 by Jamsetji Tata Nusserwanji (* 1839 in India, † 1904 in Germany ).

Today The Tata Group comprises 90 operating companies in seven independent sectors: communications and information technology, engineering (eg, the car division, Tata Motors ), steel, services (eg the Taj hotel group ), energy, consumer products and chemicals. Tata has approximately 400,000 employees on six continents.

The extension of the Tata group to the field of Information Technology was founded in 1968 with the establishment of Tata Consultancy Services ( TCS) by Fakir Chand Kohli. TCS founded in the wake of thirteen global delivery center.

In Germany and Austria TCS is active since 1991. At that time, the company opened an office in Frankfurt with ten employees. Hence the Germany headquarters of TCS which now has some 130 employees developed. TCS has also in Dusseldorf on a regional delivery centers. It serves as an interface to GNDM.
