Tatiana Totmianina

Tatyana Ivanovna Totmjanina (Russian Татьяна Ивановна Тотьмянина; born November 2, 1981 in Perm ) is a former Russian figure skater, which was launched in pair skating.

Career

Totmjanina began at the age of four years at the initiative of her mother with the ice skating. At 14, she was invited to Saint Petersburg. She felt that she had no chance in a single run. At the Russian Championships in 1995, she met Maxim Marinin, who had already changed two years ago to pair skating, but still had no partner. So he became her figure skating partner. They approached the Jubilejny sports club and trained in Jubileiny Sports Complex. Their first coach was Natalia Pavlova.

In 1999, she denied her debut at World and European Championships, she finished in seventh and fifth respectively. Personal

Totmjanina and Marinin had during her career, a relationship, this ended however, and remained close friends.

Totmjanina had a very close relationship with her mother. Her father was emotionally distant and left the family when Totmjanina was seven years old. He continued to assist in the vicinity, but without the family. Totmjanina and her mother lived with the mother's father, who suffered from schizophrenia and was violent.

As Totmjanina had money, she bought her mother a car and my own apartment in St. Petersburg. Shortly after Totmjaninas engagement with the Olympic champion and multiple world and European champion Alexei Yagudin, her mother was killed in a car accident.
