Tatra V 570

The Tatra V 570 was a small car prototype of the Czechoslovak manufacturer Tatra -Werke AG, automobile and wagon in Nesselsdorf / Kopřivnice.

History

Designer of the vehicle was Hans Ledwinka. As prototypes were built two convertibles and 1933, a sedan with streamlined body 1931 (? ). The car was intended as a possible successor of the type 12. It never came to a series production of the small car.

The construction of 1933 (?) With central tube and the rear engine was later adopted by Ferdinand Porsche of patent infringement for the VW Beetle. Porsche is said to have added later ( "Car Wars" ) to have been copied in the development of the KdF Car at Hans Ledwinka. 1961 were paid by Volkswagen AG for patent infringement on engine design and DM 3,000,000 as compensation Tatras.
