Tattnall County, Georgia

The Tattnall County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Reidsville.

Geography

The County is located in southeastern Georgia, is about 90 km from the Atlantic Ocean and has an area of ​​1264 square kilometers, of which twelve square kilometers of water surface, and borders clockwise to the following counties: Candler County, Evans County, Liberty County, Long County, Wayne County, Appling County and Toombs County.

History

Tattnall County was formed on December 5, 1801. It was named after Josiah Tattnall, a politician and governor of Georgia.
