Taugwitz is since 1 July 2009, a district of the municipality Lanitz - Hassel- valley in the Burgenland district, in Saxony -Anhalt. Until June 30, 2009 Taugwitz was a separate municipality. The last mayor was Karl High star.

Taugwitz between Apolda and Naumburg ( Saale) at 216 meters above sea level. NN.

For the former municipality Taugwitz included the districts Rehehausen, Spielberg, Gernstedt, scorn village, Poppel, Benndorf and Zäckwar.

History

Incorporations

Gernstedt and Rehehausen belonged since 1 July 1950 Taugwitz. Spielberg was incorporated on 17 October 2004.

Memorials

• Memorial stone from the year 1973 at the school that bore his name until 1992, in memory of the communist educators and Thuringian Minister of State Dr. Theodor Neubauer, who was murdered in 1945 in Brandenburg -Gorden

Traffic

Directly through the village runs the federal highway 87, which runs from Apolda to Naumburg ( Saale). The Ecumenical Pilgrimage from Görlitz to Vacha runs through the districts Spielberg, Zäckwar and Benndorf.
