Taul Bradford

Taul Bradford ( born January 20, 1835 in Talladega, Talladega County, Alabama, † October 28, 1883 ) was an American lawyer and politician (Democratic Party).

Career

Taul Bradford attended the local school. He graduated in 1854 from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1855 and then began to practice at Talladega. During the American Civil War he served in the Confederate Army. He held the rank of first Major in the 10th Regiment, Alabama Infantry, then a Lieutenant Colonel in the 30th Regiment, Alabama Infantry.

Bradford also pursued a political career. It was 1871, and in 1872 a member of the House of Representatives from Alabama over the years. Then he was elected to the 44th Congress, where he served from March 4, 1875 to March 3, 1877. He decided in 1876 not to stand for re-election. Then he resumed his lawyer in Talladega, which he pursued until his death. He was buried there on the Oak Hill Cemetery.
