Tauriana
Taurianum (also Taurinum, Tauriana or Tauroentum ) was an ancient city in the southern Italian landscape Bruttium (now Calabria ). She lay on a promontory north of Rhegium on the present territory of the present-day village Taureana Palmi.
Little is known about the city. Apparently it was colonized during the Greek colonization, such as a traditional Cato anecdote, according to which first Ausonians, had then returned from the Trojan War Achaeans settled there.
On a late Roman Diocese of the city, the titular Taurianum the Roman Catholic Church is declining.
