The Bridge of Senoueix over the Taurion

The Taurion (also: Thaurion ) is a river in France, in the Limousin region. It rises in the Massif Central, the Plateau de Millevaches. The source is about 800 meters above sea level, the place Paillier, in the municipality of Gentioux - Pigerolles, in the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin. The river drains first to the northwest, then turns southwest and flows after 108 kilometers at Saint -Priest- Taurion as a right tributary of the Vienne. On his way he crosses the departments of Creuse, and Haute -Vienne. The water of the Taurion supplied Lac de Lavaud - Gelade, a 285 -acre reservoir. Also in the lower reaches of the river there are a number of smaller reservoirs.
