Taurus Tomahawk

Taurus Tomahawk is the name of a two-stage sounding rocket, consisting of a Taurus starting stage ( demilitarized Honest John rocket) and a Tomahawk advanced level. The Taurus Tomahawk was 1978-1987 started 15 times. The Taurus Tomahawk could carry 27 kg payload to an altitude of 590 kilometers. The initial thrust of the Taurus Tomahawk was 457 kN, the take-off mass 1.611 tons, diameter of 0.58 meters and the total length of 9.38 meters.
