Tava

A Sac [ sadʒ ] is a common in Turkey, slightly convex, round metal plate used for baking flat bread ( sac ekmeği or yufka ) and related dishes such as Gözleme.

The plate is either wood or coals - now also with gas flame or electric - heated. The pita bread is then baked dry briefly on the hot surface.
