Tavignano

The Tavignano is a river in France, which runs in the Haute- Corse on the island of Corsica. It rises in the Regional Natural Park of Corsica, on the southeast flank of the Capu au Tozzu (2007 m), at the boundary of the municipality of Corte, Casamaccioli and Letia and thus also on the border to the neighboring department of Corse- du- Sud. The river drains into its headwaters in northeast, but later turns to the southeast and ends after 89 kilometers just below Aleria the Tyrrhenian Sea. Below Corte the valley of Tavignano from the National Road 200 is used.
