The National Tauride Wernadskyj University (Ukrainian Таврійський національний університет імені В.І. Вернадського ( ТНУ ). .. Russo Таврический национальный университет им В И Вернадского ) is a university in Simferopol on the Crimean peninsula belonging to the Ukraine.

The college was founded in 1918 as the Taurian National University in Crimea as. In 1921 the company was renamed after Mikhail Vasilyevich Frunze, an army commander during the Russian Civil War, from 1972 MW Frunze State University, Simferopol, since 1999 the present name after the name of Vladimir Ivanovich Vernadsky donor (Ukrainian Wernadskyj ), the first rector.
