Taylor Townsend (tennis)

Taylor Townsend ( born April 16, 1996, Chicago) is an American tennis player.

Career

At age six, Townsend began playing tennis, the preferred grass and hard courts.

As a junior she won in 2012 at the Grand Slams of the girls a total of four titles; one in singles and three in doubles. The single title she won the Australian Open when she beat in the final Julija Putinzewa 6:1, 3:6 and 6:3. The three doubles titles she won at the Australian Open, the Wimbledon Championships and the U.S. Open.
