Tayto Limited is an Irish manufacturer of snack items such as popcorn and potato chips, whose products are also distributed primarily limited to the Republic of Ireland. Taytos seat and its production facilities were located to September 2005 in Coolock, County Dublin, before the company Largo Foods, based in Ashbourne was charged with the manufacture. In July 2006, Tayto was finally purchased by Largo Foods.

Tayto is attributed to the " Cheese and Onion" already in 1954 - to have so developed cheese and onion flavor for potato chips. The long-standing market presence meant that especially the Irish rural population " Tayto " is used as a synonym for potato chips generally in colloquial vocabulary. The Tayto products are also popular import item for Irish -born emigrants worldwide.

The company is not to be confused with a Northern Irish company of the same name and the same industry that was founded in 1956 with production techniques and license the Irish Tayto. This is called Tayto (NI) Ltd.. and sells its products in the UK and other countries.
