The TBWA is an international full-service advertising agency that was founded in 1970 in Paris and has now become one of the world 's largest agency networks. The name comes from the initials of the surnames of the four founders: Bill Tragos (Greece ), Claude Bonn Ange ( France), Uli Wiesendanger ( Switzerland ) and Paolo Ajroldi (Italy ) together.
TBWA currently maintains 291 offices in 77 countries with nearly 10,000 employees. Since 1993, TBWA is part of Omnicom Group global Holding, Inc., New York. In the years 2007 and 2009, the TBWA network was awarded the title "Global Advertising Agency of the Year " by Adweek Magazine. Chairman is Jean -Marie Dru.

2006 TBWA Germany noticed by a number of very special communication activities for the worldwide customers Adidas. With the Oliver Kahn bridge over the motorway at Munich Airport and the biggest football fresco in the world in the main hall of the Cologne Central Station Adidas dominated the global media coverage. In 2006, TBWA won in Switzerland, through its Geneva branch, a golden cubes from the Art Directors Club for the advertising film of the Loterie Romande.
TBWA Austria is led by Irene Sagmeister, Managing Director. The agency TBWA \ Vienna is the " Ostprofi " of the TBWA network and managed by Vienna from acting, among other things in the CEE region customers such as Henkel and Beiersdorf AG in up to 20 countries.
