Teaneck is a township in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. In the 2000 census, a total population of 39 260 has been registered.

Geography

The geographic coordinates of the city are 40 ° 53'27 "North and 74 ° 0'40 " West.

History

Teaneck has long been regarded as a model for racial integration and multicultural coexistence. 1965 were introduced there as the first site of the United States by a white majority vote integrated schools. 25.8 % of the population are under the age of 18, 8.5 % from 18 to 24, 26.1% from 25 to 44, 25.3% between 45 and 64, 14.2% older than 65 is the average age 38 years. The ratio of women to men is 100:89,9, for people older than 18 years, the ratio 100:84,9.
