A tea machine (or tea making facilities ) is an electrical home appliance which is used for automated preparation of tea.

Principle of operation

In a container, the filled water is heated to boiling. Due to the evolving steam eventually, due to excessive pressure, which forces the boiling water into the underlying drawing vessel.

In drawing vessel it flows around the tea leaves that are in a sieve. After the preset time (the device allow about two to ten minutes) to open a valve at the bottom of the vessel and the drawing -drink tea runs into the glass jug from under it, standing on a hot plate. Some devices show this date by an acoustic signal.

Types and manufacturers

The retailer maintains several variants of different manufacturers willing, there is also multifunctional devices that combine a tea maker and a coffee maker.

Fully automatic

• The model TeaTime the German manufacturer Krups, which is no longer being built.
• The company has Cloer in the fall of 2006, a private tea makers, tea makers launched.
• Also available yet on the market by the manufacturer Harotec device operates according to the same procedure, this model is commercially available under the (manufacturer ) designations lifestyle or Princess.
• Since 2009, the technically similar device TeeGourmet the manufacturer Caso is commercially available; at times to refer also a well-known coffee roaster.

• The company has a tea called Tefal Magic Tea in the range. A similar tea can also be found at the company Clatronic ( another trade name: Bomann ).
• In import shops include a tea machine manufacturer Arçelik called Caymatik. This is an ( electrically heated ) multipart porcelain pot, which operates on the Samowarprinzip.
• The market offers two similar products that automate the drawing process: the Tea Timer Dürkop the sieve with the tea leaves is lifted after a preset time from the brewing vessel. Likewise, the Tea Timer by WMF, which is, however, designed as an attachment for any cans.
• The food giant Nestlé has brought with Special.T in 2010 in France and French-speaking Switzerland and 2011 in the rest of Switzerland a Portionsteemaschine on the market. The principle of operation with sealed in aluminum tea doses and the matching machine is similar to the coming of Nestlé Nespresso coffee system. There are 25 different types of tea (as of 2011 ).
